3 Steps to book your dream client - now!

According to a study by the International Coach Federation, the coaching industry is growing rapidly, with an annual growth rate of nearly 10%. This means that there is a lot of opportunity for new and existing coaches alike to grow their businesses. 

But how can you make sure that you're growing in the right ways and reaching your target audience? 

So, it’s no secret that to grow your business, you need to implement marketing strategies that will help you reach new clients.  

But, a mistake I see service providers, coaches, and experts making in their marketing is focusing on growing an audience instead of building a deeper relationship with their target audience - their DREAM clients. 

The truth is: You don’t need to reach ALL the people, just the RIGHT people. 

Let’s dive into 3 ways to grow your coaching business today by booking your dream clients… 

Do Your Market Research

You may have heard about the importance of market research before. But what I want to encourage you to think about differently is not just doing market research in your industry - but actually diving deeper into researching your dream clients. 

Do you know your dream client's biggest struggles and challenges? Do your research to know how your ideal client would explain their challenges in their words - whether you are interviewing, surveying, or “copystalking” people who fit your ideal client profile. That way, you can speak directly to your ideal client by positioning your services and programs to solve those challenges. Use your ideal client's language and frame your content in a way that relates to them. It will help you design a better offer and create compelling copy and marketing messages. 

Prioritize Relationship Building in Your Marketing Efforts

Nurturing your ideal clients is about building relationships. Creating great referral partnerships with other businesses in your network is also about building relationships. Plus, gaining repeat business from past clients is also all about - you guessed it - building relationships.

Relationship building with your current clients should aim to create a better client experience. You can do this through onboarding surveys and exit interviews as a client completes your program. When you prioritize relationship building in your marketing efforts, you're creating the opportunity for trust to form. Relationship building with your audience creates the know, like, and trust for them to take the next step to work with you on a deeper level. 

Invest in Evergreen Automation

Once you have an offer that sells, scaling your business means replacing manual efforts that demand more of you in real-time with automated systems that still maintain a personal, high touch.

That can look like: 

  • Replacing 1:1 sales calls with an evergreen sales funnel

  • Replacing time-bound programs that can only serve a limited number of clients at a time with an always-on, open enrollment program that can serve an unlimited number of clients

  • Replacing live launches with a time-leveraged, automated sales system

Investing in developing evergreen assets and automated systems can bring new leads and new clients into your business on autopilot.
